The elevator furnace is capable of lifting over 500 pounds for larger or more dense workcharges. This high temperature, bottom loading furnace is capable of operating at temperatures up to 1700°C in air. The furnace utilizes Moly Disilicide, Silicon Carbide, or Flat Plate heating elements positioned on three sides of the internal chamber. The insulation package is energy efficient, and consists of graded ceramic-fiber high temperature insulation. The furnace is specifically designed with a ceramic fiber roof and rugged firebrick walls and hearth. A thermocouple port is provided in the rear wall for temperature measurements.
The furnace features a speed control for the elevator to allow the user to adjust speed at will. There are motion lights to indicate elevator movement when extremely slow speeds are desired. The speed measurement is electronically controlled, which allows for smooth motion and accurate, repeatable travel time. Safety switches are provided for automatic stop when the furnace elevator is opening and closing.
The elevator speed can be changed before, during, and after the run for optimal ease of use.
Temperature sensors are available in multiple lengths and temperature ranges.
The sight glass is uniquely designed for thermal distortion-free viewing of a heated cavity.
