GENERAL INFORMATION
The MELLEN Model PS500 is a solid-state relay temperature control system similar to the MELLEN PS205, but with a computer and data acquisition software for ultimate control and data recording. It includes the following major components:
A state-of-the-art computer control system with MELLEN’s proprietary data acquisition software pre-installed.
A furnace specific number of solid state relays with appropriate voltage and current ratings.
Circuit protection and fusing with appropriate voltage and amperage ratings.
A MELLEN Control Cabinet to house all control system components.
All necessary wiring, terminal boards, interconnections, etc to create a completely operational system.
The MELLEN Model PS600 is a zero cross temperature control system. It is similar to the MELLEN PS305, but with a computer and data acquisition software for ultimate control and data recording. It includes the following major components:
A state-of-the-art computer control system with MELLEN’s proprietary data acquisition software pre-installed.
A furnace specific number of zero cross devices with appropriate voltage and current ratings.
Circuit protection and fusing with appropriate voltage and amperage ratings.
A MELLEN Control Cabinet to house all control system components.
All necessary wiring, terminal boards, interconnections, etc to create a completely operational system.
The MELLEN Model PS700 is a phase angle temperature control system. This specially designed power supply uses a power control SCR rather than a zero cross SCR. It is similar to the MELLEN PS400, but with a computer and data acquisition software for ultimate control and data recording. It includes the following major components:
A state-of-the-art computer control system with MELLEN’s proprietary data acquisition software pre-installed.
A furnace specific number of phase angle fired SCR’s with appropriate voltage and current ratings.
Circuit protection and fusing with appropriate voltage and amperage ratings.
A MELLEN Control Cabinet to house all control system components.
All necessary wiring, terminal boards, interconnections, etc to create a completely operational system.
These power supplies are designed for use with a specialized computer control system; MELLEN’s customizable software; ADAPT or TCAS.
CUSTOMIZATION
These power supplies are typically used for multiple zones, and, like all MELLEN power supplies, can be customized in a variety of ways. If there are any additional requirements you may have for your assembly that are not on this list, please let MELLEN know, and we will do our best to meet your requirements. Any of the following products are available for the temperature control system:
Any number of thermocouples are available for a wide temperature range
Transformers are available to raise or lower AC voltages
A rack mounted cabinet option is available to mount the control system in a specific position in the lab
An over temperature alarm utilizing an independent, digitally indicating, digital setpoint “high limit alarm” controller is available to prevent the furnace from overheating the workcharge
