INFORMATION
GENERAL
The MELLEN TS series furnace operates at temperatures up to 1550ºC in air. It is an economical alternative to the more expensive Moly Disilicide furnaces. The furnace comes standard with a single thermocouple port per zone, coated firebrick vestibules at each end of the furnace, support legs or mounting brackets, and a power cord.
HEATING ELEMENTS
The furnace utilizes Silicon Carbide heating elements capable of 1550ºC in air. These heating elements are special, Silicon Carbide spiral groove, rod-style heating elements. These operate with low surface-watt loading for longer life at elevated temperatures and are field-replaceable for easy maintenance. They are strategically engineered in a dual ladder pattern to radiate heat uniformly to the internal chamber.
CONTROLLER
Sold Separately. Current limited phase-angle fired power supply (MELLEN PS305 or PS400) recommended.
