Over Temperature Alarm
Prevent the furnace from overheating your work.
The over temperature alarm (OT) is designed to prevent the furnace from heating up the work charge higher than the desired temperature. MELLEN’s over temperature alarm utilizes an independent digital set-point "hi-limit alarm" controller.
For when hotter is not better.
Standard Over Temperature
The over temperature alarm package is furnished with an appropriate thermocouple, thermocouple extension wire, and sufficient mechanical power contactors to mechanically interrupt power to the furnace in the event of an over temperature condition at the location of the over temperature sensor. The over temperature alarm is mounted in the main temperature control enclosure.
Integrated Over Temperature
Beyond the standard over temperature alarm, there also exists the MELLEN integrated over temperature alarm (IOT alarm). The integrated over temperature alarm uses the alarm in the controller to trigger the over temperature condition and stop heating the furnace. The IOT alarm does not require any additional thermocouples, controllers, or extension wire.
