The MELLEN Model PS105 and PS205 are solid-state relay temperature control systems.

The PS105 is our most economical power supply. Designed for as small a footprint as possible, it is designed to control a single zone furnace up to 25A.

The PS205 is our standalone solid state relay power supply. This design is fully customizable, for as many zones and as high a current as you require.

GENERAL INFORMATION

The MELLEN Model PS105 is a solid-state relay temperature control system. This control system is designed for the minimum size footprint with a stainless steel casing. It includes the following major components:

  1. A Love PID temperature controller with 8 ramp/soak steps and 8 programs and RS485 communications (other controllers available on request)

  2. The PS105 comes with an integrated over temperature alarm. The integrated over temperature alarm uses the alarm in the controller itself to trigger the over temperature.

  3. A furnace specific number of solid-state relays with appropriate voltage and current ratings.

  4. A circuit breaker with appropriate voltage and amperage ratings to permit connection to customers main power source.

  5. MELLEN Control Cabinet to house all control system components.

  6. All necessary wiring, terminal boards, interconnections, etc to create a completely operational system.

The MELLEN Model PS205 is a solid-state relay temperature control system. It includes the following major components:

  1. A furnace specific number of Love PID temperature controllers with 8 ramp/soak steps and 8 programs and RS485 communications (other controllers available on request)

  2. A furnace specific number of solid-state relays with appropriate voltage and current ratings.

  3. Circuit protection with appropriate voltage and amperage ratings to permit connection to customers main power source.

  4. MELLEN Control Cabinet to house all control system components.

  5. All necessary wiring, terminal boards, interconnections, etc to create a completely operational system.

CUSTOMIZATION

The temperature control system can be customized through many different devices. If there are any additional requirements you may have for your assembly that are not on this list, please let us know and we will do our best to meet your requirements. Any of the following products are available for the temperature control system:

  1. Any number of thermocouples is available for a wide temperature range.

  2. Transformers are available to raise or lower AC voltages.

  3. A rack mounted cabinet option is available to mount the control system at a specific position in the lab.

  4. An independent over temperature alarm utilizing an independent, digitally indicating, digital setpoint “hi limit alarm” controller is available to prevent the furnace from over heating the work charge.
